SUPPORT SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE UNITED STATES

FORCES STRATEGIC COMMAND (SMDC/ARSTRAT) MISSION

 

Glacier Technologies was awarded a $7,412,776 contract (a base year with four option years) with SMDC/ARSTRAT in Colorado Springs to provide all management, labor, supervision, training, equipment and supplies necessary to perform non-personal logistical engineering, technical support, logistic services and information management support services. Tasks may include: program development, evaluation, planning, and functional or concept analysis for supply, maintenance and transportation support; logistical system engineering; configuration management; acquisition support; testing; evaluation and analysis of logistical support system and subsystems; analysis of logistical readiness concepts; development and analysis of logistical requirements for systems, subsystems and related logistic information systems; development of data bases; analysis of integrated logistics support; and, analysis of training concepts and plans.

This contract is unique in that it was first awarded to Vista Technologies in 1994. As you may know Vista Technologies was purchased by BBNC and became SpecPro, Inc. Some personnel on the SMDC/ARSTRAT
contract have been performing this work for 12 years now and are now joining Glacier Technologies for work on a new five year contract. During a luncheon with the employees in September Mr. John Reeder (president of SpecPro, Inc.) gave each employee a certificate of appreciation for the excellent work performed under the SpecPro contract and introduced Mr. Trumbla (president of Glacier). As they shook hands it marked one of the few times that an incumbent firm’s president, warmly welcomed the new contractor’s president as he took over the work.
