Glacier Technologies Supports Project Give-Back

Glacier Technologies partnered with over 500 volunteers to support Project Give-Back’s 18th Annual Thanksgiving Food Distribution conducted on November 17, 2012 (Saturday). This project resulted in the delivery of over 1,100 food baskets to needed families. The day started with the Project Give-Back Team members meeting at 1:30 AM to pick up turkeys, and ended with the volunteers delivering food baskets to numerous residences and sites located throughout the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area. Some of these sites included Barry Farms (Washington, DC), Bolling Air Force Base (Washington, DC), True Deliverance Church of God (Maryland), Prince Georges Community Church (Maryland), and Culpepper Gardens (Virginia). Each food basket contained such items as turkey, chicken, sweet potatoes, onions, stuffing mix, dried beans, carrots, and different desserts.

The mission of Project Give-Back is to provide a vehicle for corporate firms and professionals to give back to the communities in which they work and live by coordinating programs that benefit the less fortunate (individuals, families, and especially children). It is the intent of the organization to uplift communities around the United States mentally, spiritually, and economically.
